1 week, 7 days, 168 hours, 10080 minutes, 604800 seconds later,i should be on plane flying at that very moment to start off another chapter of my life. i should feel happy and all excited mainly because England is one of the country that i have soft spot for ever since i was a kid. but right now all i’m feeling is worrying if i can adapt to the life there, there’s just so much to be worried off and i’m starting to have difficulty to sleep at night. I think i will have a sleepless night on the day before i depart.

Thank you!
It’s a tiring day for me today, woke up 7-ish had a light breakfast with my dad and we head down to Segamat to pray before i head off to uk in 2 weeks time. Basically we just pray at the old house and also a temple which i’m some sort of godson to one of the god, the ‘ceremony’ was done at that particular temple thus the idea. Spent around 2 hours before we head back home and reached home around 3pm.
The old myviclub gang sort of organize a bbq farewell for me at night. i was looking forward for it but felt kinda odd when i see my old friends who i used to see them like few times a week last time when we were active back in myviclub days. I feel that i have so much to tell them, so much to talk to but when i see them, i just don’t know what to say. Maybe it’s just because we don’t really meet up often anymore thus the ’stranger feeling’.
Anyway a big thank you to you guys who organize it, thank you rock for his place and food that his families prepared (your house is huge! =p), ah girl and bf(is it bf?)for coming up all the way from jb, ellesha for fetching ah girl up, brian for buying the food, meilin manda rosham alien ys ah loy for coming so far.

I love the card you guys made and thanks for the wonderful wishes. =)
BORING!!!!!!
can someone pls help me out from my misery, my life is damn bored now >.<
you can basically count with one hand with what i did this week, settle my fees & living expenses. Speaking of which pound is like bull now shooting up like mad, luckily i changed it b4 it go any higher. I spent like 2 hours in the bank and if you think it’s the queue, nope it’s not but the time they take to process my bank draft is insane. I closed off both my foreign currency and local account with OCBC and i can hear the manager nagging in the back of the counter about the lack of info on the form -.-” she must have thought that i’m deaf or something.
i woke up early this morning to have my x-ray and some simple body check up. it has to be one of the most embarrassing visit to a clinic ever!!it started fine with normal check such as BP and etc until the urine test, it’s my first time and there’s no urine no matter how hard i try so i had a couple cup of water as offered by the nurse. 15 minutes later still nothing then the nurse ask me to do x-ray first. After that still nothing and i had a few drinks again and finally!!yes finally it came after some 1 hour, super pai seh de zzzz
o ya i sold off my ps3 already few days ago, sold to a random guy from lowyat forum with a fair price considering i’m leaving soon and my sis is not so much of a gamer. no wonder my life is so bored now and with less dota playing in my life, gaming is like out of my life now.
spent this few days looking at some friend’s blog, watching youtube and some random movies that i missed out last time. 2 weeks from now i will be on plane but still i don’t really feel the excitement(what’s wrong with me?). planning to cut my hair tmr before someone tell me i look like a girl again, will be heading back to segamat to pray and come back on the same day to attend the bbq at rock house at night. It’s being a long time since i’ve last meet with the old myviclub gang. =)
End of rant for now.
Penang Trip
on one very random night taoyong msn me and asked me what i’m doing on the following week, as usual my answer is nothing cause basically i really have nothing to do except sleeping ,eating, playing and sleeping. So he suggest that we have a trip to Ipoh and Penang for food and off we go.
We spent 1 night over at Juan Mun house as he will be joining us to Penang as well on the 2nd day. no pictures taken as we forgot about camera but basically we had the routine stuff in Ipoh, the famous hor fun and etc. Had dinner at some food court ordering some random stuff and some tai pai toong recommended by Juan Mun. Well for me it tasted alright cos what i was waiting is the dim sum breakfast that many were talking about. At last we choose to have it at Foo San (富山) which i must say didn’t disappoint me after some 200km of driving from KL. The fried stuff offered is just too good to be described and among the dimsum, the fishball just left me breathless. no pictures of the food as my photographer is busy eating and forgot his camera once more -.- but he managed to take the picture of the shop.

We had a short nap back home after the incredible dimsum before we head towards Penang.
The road from Penang to Ipoh is the worse period for my car as the road is rather bouncy and with some 30kg ‘burden’ thanks to Chuan Wooi(he’s bringing 4 years of notes from kl to penang -.-), the tires will sometimes hit the bottom of the fender wherever the road get bouncy. At first it’s still alright when i do 100-110km/h but it got worse so i was force to go slower, how slow?here’s a few series of pictures to show you.

80 is not too bad right?but sometimes the tires still hit the body(and im wondering why am i paying toll for such road?) At the end…

Yes!!60km/h on NSE!!!You know what’s more humiliating?

1. Avanza overtaking me

2. lorry overtaking

3. Military truck

4. bus
u name it, i have it!
worse still, i got blocked by police and he claimed that i was speeding. (WTF!!) Then i told him i did not and he took my license, walk around and gv me back my license and ask me to go -.-”
Seriously this is my 1st time and it will be the last, no more heavy bag on my car tq!!!
We reached Perai around 2pm and the plan was to stay at Perai for one day and move to the island on the 2nd day. Of course the 1st stop was Chuan Wooi house to drop off the ‘burden’ on my car(my car : “what a relief” =p) and we head to somewhere for yam rice for late lunch. Again my mr photographer did not take the picture of the food but only the shop ~.~

After lunch we went on and walk around before checking in to Pearl View hotel. They charged me for Rm190/night on a weekday which i think is expensive but what to do, i have no clues on Penang hotels.
After some rest we went off for dinner, can’t remember the name but it’s quite some distance from where we stay, finally some pictures of the food.

We ordered 8 dishes and it cost us less than Rm90 and there’s 4-5 dishes that has seafood so it’s kinda cheap.
Next up is supper time, this is a stall by the road side and the owner has a BMW with L 55 number plate @@

The curry taste ok and in the 3rd picture are the stuff that we ordered separately. They add in some dried shrimps which is crispy and it’s kinda special for me. The price for a bowl of curry is Rm2.50 or so which is reasonable but the price for the extra stuff we ordered is kinda expensive. If i remember correctly it’s about Rm15 for that bowl alone @@
On the 2nd day we woke up quite late cos i was watching MU-Arsenal game in the midnight (hahaha). Anyway we went to have prawn noodles(they call it hokkien noodles in penang) and loh mee with some pork slice on top of it. The loh mee is so so for me but the prawn noodles is not bad. Sorry no picture as i found none on my photographer’s facebook.
Then we depart to Penang via ferry as it is nearer from us. my poor car could no stand the vibration when the ferry moves and the alarm keep going off and i hv to disable it at the end. well i guess that’s good so if anyone tries to tow my car it will go off as well, good job? =D
After we landed on the island we head off looking for asam laksa and cendol which i tasted about 4 years ago. I’m not a big fan of asam laksa but i have some good memories of it’s taste of this particular stall when i came here with myviclub. (yes yes, with her as well) Not forgetting enjoying a bowl of ice cold cendol after the spicy and hot laksa =p

The CKT(char kuey teow) is just so so for me, i can have such taste in kl as well but the prawn is big. Asam laksa is still as good as i tasted 4 years back. Love it!!

When i came 4 years back i had it at the road side and it was on weekend so it was all full. Now they have this shop lot with air cond for you to sit down and enjoy. Still good as you see the thumbs =D
After the late lunch we went to Queens Bay Mall to walk around before checking into out hotel. My dad has being recommending this hotel for so long and i’m so glad i took his advise. It’s Northam Suite which is located near to gurney drive (just 1 street away i think). It cost Rm218/night for a junior suite but they upgrade it to deluxe suite and just let the picture tell u everything.

Small toilet just beside the entrance on the right

Living room

Dining Table, (the drawing is not there anymore when we left LOL story after the pictures)

Office table if you need it and here come the best part of the room

yes the washroom, it’s big, no, it’s huge and has a big jacuzzi. i’m suspecting that it’s bigger than my room lol
And here’s the bed

so ya it’s more than just a place to stay, strongly recommend if you want a place to relax and etc. Of course the price is on the high side but i’ll say it’s totally worth it.
on the story of the drawing, we were playing cards while waiting for the Chelsea-Barcelona match. so one of my friend that sit just in front of the drawing suddenly raise both his hand to stretch his body and next thing we know, the drawing fell and the glass broke after hitting his head ~.~
Ended up paying Rm150 for the glass hahaha (can stay 1 more night topping up Rm70 >.<)
After having some rest we went for dinner, having no idea what to eat TaoYong called his girlfriend opss, is friend and she recommended this western food in hainan style (i saw the board). There’s sign of ah xian from Astro AEC visiting this place as well
Taoyong’s fish and chips recommended by his girlfriend, sorry, is friend!!=p

JuanMun’s, i dont know the name but it’s more than deep friend chicken. There’s a layer of ham hiding inside the chicken chop.

Chuan Wooi’s chicken chop, again i don’t remember the name but the sauce is good, match well with the grilled chicken

My marryland chicken chop, served with ham and sauage.
Well overall the taste is ok and more importantly it’s not expensive, the price range from Rm8-Rm10 depends on what you order.
After dinner we drive around komtar area looking for hawker food, unfortunately a few places that we know are closed and we randomly picked one place to taste the food. At 1st the guy who sell the beverage asked me what we want, with super useless hokkien i point to the next table (drinking some herbal tea) and said 3 and guess what he served us

yes 3 bowl of ice kacang, but i’m glad he listen wrongly cos it taste good!!
Also ordered prawn noodles again cos we saw everybody was ordering it, this side is black cos my friend claimed it taste better if we mix with loh mee’s gravy.
After that we went on to gurney drive to see the ’silver man’ and fire show

at 1st i thought it’s some statue but my friend claimed it’s actually a real man dressed with silver dress and sit there letting people to take autograph with him. Of course you can pay if you like. Later on i see him moving and smoking to realized he’s actually an ang mo @@
Yes, i’ve seen better with fire performance but thumbs up for his effort since he’s doing this free on the road side. He then put up a big can indicating you can pay him some if you want and we leave him a few bucks. We then had a drink and some food at the food court before heading back to the hotel.
On the 2nd day i was planning to go back to have the asam laksa and cendol again as my sis request me to tapao for her but while we were on our way she sms me saying she’s sick. The plan is then cancel and we were heading to get some biscuit as gift, on the way we saw this food court that is sort of full so we stop by and had lunch. I ordered some fried fish fillet soup noodles as it looks promising after taoyong ordered it. The aunty asked me whether i want it to be fish fillet or mixed pork(meat and some spare parts) so i told her to mix it around and she says “ok, i mix abit of both for you”. When it came…
She did mix but instead of abit of both, she gv me a double portion -.-” It cost me Rm7-8, honestly the soup was so so but the fish fillet is good.
Then we head towards the shop selling the biscuit (tau sa peng). I don’t know if this is the best shop but i like their tau sa peng, it’s solid outside and soft inside.

That’s all for Penang, we then sent Chuan Wooi home and heads back to Ipoh to send Juan Mun home. When we leave ipoh for Penang we were planning to have the soya milk in Ipoh but it was closed on that day. So we tried our luck again

The signboard, Funny Mountain. they claimed that they will close for the day once they sell off everything.

Tao fu fa + tao jiong =D
Then we head back to KL, i used 2 hours to upload all the pictures and posting -.-
I’m back! Part 3
It’s ‘cheng meng’ on the very same week i came back from perhentian so like the usual years, i followed my dad to Nilai Memorial Park to clean up and pray my grandfather who passed away 5 years ago. Actually it was more like praying since the place is pretty much cleaned by the workers there frequently. This year is a little better compared to the past experience i had as we usually will stuck in jam before we even reach the entrance of NMP but this year there wasn’t much of a jam, there were alot of people but not to the extend that cars are having problem moving.
I spent the following week pretty much on considering which laptop to get as pc fair is coming right up on the weekends. I was looking for something not too heavy and is good enough to support my usage. I looked at Dell Studio 15, BenQ S42, Asus F81SE, HP DV3 and whole lot more and a day before pc fair i’ve decided to look out at Asus F81SE and HP DV3. Both comes with same processor which is T6400, spec is pretty much the same except Asus has a better graphic card and is 14″ while HP is 13″. To be honest i was siding more on Dv3 since it weight only 2kg and looks far more elegant compared to Asus. Moreover they are throwing a Rm700 rebate on DV3 making it Rm2999. Asus F81SE was listed for RM3099.

So on Friday (10/4/2009) which is the 1st day of pc fair, i went to the pc fair at KL Convention Center with Chun Guan along with 2 of his friends to look out at the laptops. I was around Convention Center around 1050am and all the car parks around convention center are full, worse still is the parking in convention center is full too!!at the end i had no choice but to try my luck with KLCC parking and luckily there were still quite a number of parking spots available. Can’t imagine how those who are coming later are gonna park their cars.
We then meet up at KLCC and walk over to the convention center with only HP and Asus on our mind. We first checked out HP DV3 but to my surprised they told me that the warranty for HP is only valid for Asia Pacific which will be a real disadvantage for me as i was planning to bring this laptop to UK for more than a year. After several minutes of conversation they told me i can upgrade it at a free, worse still, i have to deal directly with HP as they do not know how to do it. With abit of disappointment, we walked up to a Asus booth to check out the F81SE and our ‘nightmare’ begins. We were told that the cheaper spec we were looking at is not available in this pc fair but the high spec ones (P8600, vista premium, finger print reader) is available at RM 3788 which is about RM700 much more expensive than the spec we were aiming at. The plus side of this deal is that the salesman is willing to throw in alot of freebies (the usual mouse, ram, cooler and etc)which total up to 10 items. We didn’t have the chance to see the real thing as the display unit is still somewhere behind so we went off to have a lunch and consider the options we have before we return to see the real unit.
After lunch when we were about to go back to the same booth, we passed by the Toshiba booth and the M300 models actually caught our eyes with the nice shining surface finishing all around the laptop, i especially like the white light they use around the laptop making a perfect match with the grey body it has. Anyway we went back to the Asus booth and the display unit is ready to be molested by us (lol), to be frank i was a little disappointed with the material used on the touch pad area. A little too plastic in my opinion and i just don’t like the rough surface of it (they use the concept of netting). I then meet Kev which was covering the event and he told me there’s more laptop booth including another Asus booth on the upper floor so we went up with the hope that this 2nd Asus booth have the cheaper spec of F81SE available and yes, it is available but in white instead of black. It still looks good but the freebies given by this booth is rather poor compared to the 1st booth. Worse still, the salesman seems so unexperienced, it took him 5 minutes to figure out the model i’m looking for and in the end show me the wrong model. -.-” Having absolutely no idea on what to get at that moment, i saw the 2nd HP booth so i went over and clarify the warranty issue again with them. Surprisingly, they told me all HP laptop are covered with international warranty which in my case it is covered. At this point i’m pretty much swing towards HP again as it really do look much more solid and elegant with the bronze body.
Finally, i’ve chosen

surprised?haha, ya in the end i choose to buy toshiba M300-S411. It come with T6400 which is the same as DV3 and F81SE, the graphic card is ATI 3470 which is in the samw category with 9300M of DV3. Spec wise it’s pretty much there but it’s the outlook (reflective as you can see in the pic) and it’s combination with white light around the keypad is just too good to be ignored. Here’s a picture of it

It also come with harman/kardon speaker, someone told me this is the brand of speakers they use in lambo?

An overall look of the laptop
The profile pic my sis got for me =)

The laptop costs me Rm3099 which is well inside my budget =D
It’s getting long for this post, that’s all for now.
I’m back? Part 2
After the Kluang trip (Shisheng’s house) we went straight back to the college to book our air ticket, i was driving quite normal but this certain zhihong (haha) called me up while i was having breakfast telling me the air ticket for 4th June is sold out which makes me nervous then i started driving faster and faster. But luckily he managed to book the same date with another travel agent for few of us so ppl i’m flying off on 4th June. Anyway hv to thanks zhihong also for informing and helping us to book in advance as when i reached college for the deposit, ticket for 4th June are all taken. Luckily i didn’t get any speeding ticket during the trip =p
I spent the following week busy preparing for the documents to apply for a student visa, from filling up the application form to preparing the financial statement it was really very troublesome. Worse is during the day i went to Wisma MCA for application, the girl told me i filled up the form wrongly and asked me to go home, fill up the freaking long form which has 9 pages asking all sort of questions(from me to my parents to my university to my plans, answer until i sien), print it and make another appointment. Super duper zha dou. I went with Thomas anyway and he filled it up right so he settled it all that day while i went back home and do it all again, went there on the 2nd day and finally i got it right. Conclusion : it’s super troublesome, even the photo background have to be white rather than the one we normally take in studio for IC/passport which is in blue. Anyway credit to them as they are very efficient, i submitted on Tuesday and on Thursday it’s already ready for collection and tadaaa, i have my student visa now =D
On 30th March me and 15 friends took an overnight bus at Hentian Putra that head towards Kuala Besut, Terengganu. I’ve being planning this Perhentian trip when i was having my final exam, kinda reminds me of my times at myviclub =) Anyway we departed at 9PM and reached the jetty at 5AM. It was a bouncy ride and i could barely sleep and don’t worry if you want to ask me about the safety of the bus, i was kinda worried too!(lol, maybe that’s what causing me not to sleep on the bus as well). I don’t think i wanna take any long journey bus anymore, just so uncomfortable >.< Anyway we reached there safely and when we were there, it was dark and there’s barely any shop that is open. Luckily there’s this kopitiam uncle who is kind enough to open the shop and let us in to have a light breakfast + astro to keep us accompany. We spent 3 hours waiting for the boatmen as he only arrived at 8AM.(super boring waiting!!ya i hate waiting, just the nature of me)
We went to a Bubbles resort which is recommended by TaoYong’s cousin, well it’s chalet style and for the price we are paying i don’t have much to complaint. For the 1st day we do some snorkeling at the sea in front of the resort and in the afternoon there’s this confident class conducted by a worker named Rachel. When it started there’s like 7 of us but gosh, all my friends already knew how to swim and they just took off leaving me alone (ya ya ya, i don’t know how to swim -.-). Anyway she started it by asking me to float at really shallow area where i can stand but being a noob, i keep on standing feeling that i was gonna drown. She then seen enough and drag me to a deeper area where i couldn’t stand as my feet couldn’t touch the ground. Bit by bit and 2 hours later, i can just float and move around the water without any problem =D Sounds good until when i was about to bath in the toilet, i realized i forgot to apply sunblock and my skins are all red (after a month now from the trip, my arms are still so obviously darker than my body).
On the 2nd day we went for the snorkeling trip, looking for turtles and sharks as well. No luck for sharks but we managed to see the shadow of turtle during the search when it was swimming in the sea. Few of my friends jump down immediately but it swam really fast and that’s the closest we got to turtle. The usual drink and talk crap at night and without is even realizing, it’s already time to head back home. On the last day itself, the driver that fetched us to the Kota Bharu airport from the jetty bring us to this malay stall for nasi karabu and ayam percik which is kinda nice in its way. Again, on the way to the airport i saw Pasir Puteh, upon reaching the airport, everything looks so familiar. It looks exactly the same when i visited you at your NS camp 5 years back. Sometimes i wonder, do you still remember me in your heart? How is HuaiHuai?Do you keep him somewhere or still hug him like you always do?There’s so much i wanted to know but the answer will just never be there for me. Anyway I was feeling so lucky that i checked on Air Asia’s website early March as they were doing the Rm1 fare promotion and i managed to grab the tickets for all of us rather than choosing the take the bus home which would be such a disaster. XD
When we reach LCCT, we took the shuttle bus back to KL Sentral before we all take our own way back home. I took the KTM alone as i’m the only one from Subang. When i reach the platform waiting for the train to come, to my surprise i actually see people lining up (the last time i took a ktm was like 2-3 years ago, back then no one were lining up). Right so i was saying to myself “wow, malaysians can actually improve with people following the rules”. So i happily line up and boy oh boy i was so wrong, when the trains arrive the line just disappear and the usual you push i push mentality is back -.-”
Anyway pictures of my Perhentian trip can be seen in my facebook, lazy to upload it here =) That’s all for now, part 3 will be the last of this series, pretty much of my preparation for UK and my cousin’s visit =D
